Farm Bureau honors Mayhall with Friend of Agriculture Award
Jackson – The Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation presented its
Friend of Agriculture Award to Representative Ted Mayhall of Southaven.
He represents House District 40 comprised of DeSoto County.
“Representative Mayhall has worked hard with Farm Bureau to get
stronger private property rights laws in force,” said Farm Bureau
President Randy Knight. “His work in this area helped Farm Bureau
pass the Eminent Domain Reform Initiative.”
“To take somebody’s property so someone can benefit financially
is totally wrong,” said Representative Mayhall. “I am adamantly
opposed to it. We’ve lost too many rights already in this country
and that’s one that I’ll fight for.”
Representative Mayhall is a member of Horn Lake Masonic Lodge 617, Horn
Lake Chamber of Commerce, Southaven Chamber of Commerce, and the Civil
War Preservation Trust.
